UNITED SIKHS Chapter in London, Canada Makes a Difference in the Community

London, Ontario

The UNITED SIKHS chapter in London, Canada, continues its steadfast commitment to serving the community. In a heartwarming event, UNITED SIKHS volunteers came together to provide meals to those in need.

Our volunteers served a nourishing meal that included delicious curry, bananas, rice crispies, chips, and juice boxes to over 120 individuals in the community.

The ‘Feed the Hungry project’ organized by UNITED SIKHS underscores our dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those facing hardship. The event would not have been possible without the generous support of donors and the hard work of dedicated volunteers.

“We are incredibly thankful to our volunteers,” said Gurbir Singh, Director of Operations at UNITED SIKHS Canada. “Their compassion and commitment to serving the community is inspiring.”

We also extended heartfelt gratitude to Ark Aid Mission for partnering in this noble endeavor. The collaboration between the two organizations exemplifies the power of community and unity in addressing critical needs.

A special acknowledgment goes to our dedicated volunteers, including Nihal Singh, Sukhpreet Kaur, Jaitsree Kaur, Harris, Debra, Ludvik, Gurjit Kaur, Gurmeet Kaur, and Mandeep Singh, who went above and beyond to ensure that those in need received nourishing meals and a sense of hope.

The success of this event was also due to the skilled cooks, Saksha and Minnie Bhatia, who prepared the freshly cooked meals of rice and kidney beans, accompanied by bananas, chips, rice crispies, and juice boxes.

UNITED SIKHS remains committed to serving the community one event at a time and will continue to rely on the support of volunteers and donors to make a positive impact in London, Ontario, and beyond.
