UNITED SIKHS is head-quartered in New York and registered as a non-profit, tax exempt organization, in New York pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and registered as a charity in the State of New York and registered as a Not-For-Profit organization in Canada..

Our Mission
To transform, alleviate, educate and protect the lives of underprivileged, individuals and minority communities impacted by disasters, natural or man-made, suffering from hunger, illiteracy, diseases, or from violation of civil and human-rights into informed and vibrant members of society by fostering sustainable programs regardless of color, race, religion, creed, gender, disability and or national origin.
Our Story
UNITED SIKHS began in 1999 when a group of Sikhs from the New York metropolitan area banded together to assist in the socio-economic development of immigrant communities in Queens, New York. Today, UNITED SIKHS is a grass-roots organization over 560,000 followers on Facebook as on August 2021 and over 30,000 on Twitter.

Seminar on Immigration and Job Oppotunities in Canada

On December 14th, UNITED SIKHS organized an informative seminar in Brampton, Ontario, spotlighting updates from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on Study Permit and Work Permit programs. Guest speaker GS Khehra from CWC Immigration Brampton Office provided attendees with a detailed understanding of Canada’s current requirements, application processes, and eligibility criteria. The session offered valuable insights into essential documentation, processing timelines, and best practices for successful applications. Participants also learned about recent IRCC policy changes, ensuring they were equipped with the latest information.

Gurinder Singh, from UNITED SIKHS, also hosted a seminar on the importance of video shooting and photography skills in today’s job market. Singh highlighted how mastering these skills can enhance employability, foster creativity, and unlock new career opportunities in content creation, marketing, or social media. We, at UNITED SIKHS, support the empowerment of the young generation to build a better future.
